The butterfly, also known as the Cynandra opis, was selected for the research due to its unique, alluring colors. ![]() The annual event runs at the gardens from 14 January until 5 March 2017. The event features hundreds of butterflies emerging from their pupae and being released into the warm surroundings at the glasshouse.
